UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is a mobile application for citizens of India. It is a unified platform for e-governance wherein citizens can access services from the Central, State, Local Bodies, and Agencies of government on mobile, web, SMS, and IVR channels.
The app enables citizens to access various services from the government, including healthcare, transport, finance, education, housing, energy, and agriculture. It is also integrated with digital services in India, such as PayGov, DigiLocker, and Aadhaar. This makes government services and transactions more secure, more unified, and most importantly, more convenient for the residents. Sensitive and personal information is encrypted for the user's peace of mind.
